Camp Snoopy is a Peanuts-themed area inside the Carowinds amusement park, featuring the iconic Snoopy character and his friends. It is a mainstay kids’ area in the Cedar Fair Parks complex, including Knott’s Berry Farm and Cedar Point. The entire area has a summer camp feel to it.
The Carowinds Camp Snoopy has two general areas, with the Woodstock Express rollercoaster ride being the unofficial line dividing the two. The newer area was unveiled last 2018.
It is composed of thirteen rides that are especially suited for kids aged 12 or under. The Woodstock Express is one of the area’s flagship rides. It is a 40 feet tall, kid-friendly roller coaster that speeds up to 35 mph, and is one of the fastest and “thrilling” rides in all of Camp Snoopy.
Camp Snoopy has recently expanded to include a host of new attractions. One of these is Camp Bus, a bus themed attraction where riders are gently brought up and down and round again, lightly of course. The Kite Eating Tree takes kids 20 feet up in the air. But unlike the drop rides, adults are used to this one gently return them to the ground. Peanut Trailblazers lets you ride in a car and race around in a circular track. It rumbles, buckles, and shakes around just as a real car should. The Woodstock Whirlybirds is a fun, teacup style ride that circles around a small arena. And if that’s not enough, each teacup can rotate on its own for added fun.
For more interactive play, the Beagle Scout Acres will satisfy any active young’un. This 8,000 square foot climb and roam playground features classics from see-saws to boxes. For older kids, they have a larger play structure with longer slides and interactive features to try out.
